Nearly 2 dozen shell casings found after deadly Philly shooting

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a deadly shooting in the Fairhill section of the city.

The shooting happened around 9:45 p.m. near North Howard Street and West Lehigh Avenue.

Officers found a 36-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A second victim, a 25-year-old man, was also shot multiple times. Police said he was struck seven times throughout his body and taken to the hospital. His condition was not immediately known.

Investigators recovered nearly two dozen shell casings at the scene.

Further details about the shooting have not been released.

No arrests have been announced.
